All ribbon is wound on beautifully finished sustainable wooden spool, so no need to iron out creases before use.
The silk is dyed with natural plant dyes in our Cornwall studio. either gathered from our garden or the surrounding countryside, or fair trade natural dyes. As a hand-dyed process there may be flecks and imperfections which we believe add to the character of the silk and ensure you have unique product.
Blush is a beautiful soft pale peach/neutral colour which works very well with most colour schemes, flora and foliage.
This bias cut feather weight habotai silk is super soft and drapy and 100% silk. The ribbons are cut on the bias (diagonal to the grain of the fabric) giving it excellent draping qualities. Over time the cut edges will fray naturally, giving a soft edge to the ribbon. The spools contain either 3 or 6 metres of ribbon (please choose), joined at intervals of approximately 1.5 metres by a neatly sewn seam, finished with pure silk thread with a very small overlap to help create a seamless appearance throughout the spools. The raw unfinished edges will naturally soften with wear.
Due to the handmade nature of this product, please allow up to 5-7 working days from order to delivery.
For orders of 10 spools or more, there may be a longer lead time.
Colour - We have taken every precaution to ensure the ribbons are colourfast in cold water, but we would advise carrying out your own tests for colourfastness and cannot make guarantees. We advise storing out of bright lights, which can fade the natural colour.
Markings - Due to the organic and handmade nature of this product, small imperfections may be visible in both the fabric weave and dyeing.
Washing - Natural dyes are sensitive to pH (how acid or alkaline something is) we therefore suggest washing only in cold water, and with a pH neutral soap if absolutely necessary.
Ironing/Pressing - All of our ribbons can be pressed on a medium/high heat
